The Carroll Shelby Automotive Technology Program
A generous gift from auto racing legend Carroll Shelby allowed NTCC to completely revamp its Automotive Technology Program.
The new curriculum will include certificates, ASE certification, an associates degree and a special Performance Academy that will
prepare students for careers in racing.
The Julia Truitt Culinary Arts & Hospitality Management Program
In 2008, a gift made it possible for NTCC to purchase Our Place Restaurant in downtown Pittsburg. This building is now the home of the Julia Truitt
Culinary Arts & Hospitality Management Program. Here students are able to learn in a high-end restaurant environment similar to what
they will see after college. This facility is also used for college meetings and events.
The NTCC Sustainable Agriculture Program
In 2002, the NTCC Board of Trustees began visioning a new agricultural complex to promote sustainable agriculture. This vision will
become a reality soon as planning is underway for a comprehensive, “green” facility that will include classroom space, storage, a
pavilion and many other state-of-the-art features.
