What is Office Technology?

Positions in office technology require computer skills along with interpersonal skills. Students can choose from three discipline areas in Office Technology: Medical, Legal and Administrative Office Support.

With a two year office technology degree or one year certificate from NTCC, you can prepare for jobs like: receptionist, transcriptionist, coding and billing clerk, assistant, administrative assistant, file clerk, etc. 

Program Description:
  • Enjoy hands-on-learning from instructors through simulated office activities
  • Learn all of the skills you need to prepare you for an exciting career in office technology.
  • Gain the necessary computer skills to be successful in a career in office technology

 

Career Opportunities:

One of the most important things to consider when choosing a course of study is what job opportunities are available in a field. With a degree or certificate from NTCC in Office Technology you can prepare for jobs like: Medical Transcriptionist, Legal Assistant, Administrative Assistant, Office Manager, etc.
