Effective Immediately the Dental Hygiene program will NOT admit any new students and will close the program when the existing students complete their studies in 2015.

 

Prospective Students

Thank you for considering Northeast Texas Community College and our Dental Hygiene Program as your education choice. We are committed to supporting student success. One mechanism by which our program supports student success is by introducing applicants to the program and job entry requirements through the information found on this page.

What follows is important information for applicants wishing to become future entry-level dental hygienists. Applicant resources can be found on our Forms and Program Tuition & Fees pages.

 

Required Testing for Admission

The SAT or ACT is required for program admission: the TEAS or HOBET is also a required test for program admission.

The NTCC Testing Center offers the following tests:

Other Application Requirements  

Applicants are required to observe in dental offices for a minimum of 48 hours - equivalent to 1 week and 1 day.


Course Work
  1. Preliminary Required Classes (Pre-requisite)
    These classes are required prior to applying to NTCC DH Program and can be taken as general studies coursework at NTCC.

  2. Program Classes
    These classes can only be taken after the prerequisite course work has been satisfied.

Information Sessions
Information sessions are held in the Dental Hygiene Clinic in the UHS building. Sessions generally last an hour.

  • September 6, 2013 at 10 AM
  • October 18, 2013 at 10 AM
  • January 10, 2014 at 10 AM
