Sharon Dunkin Sperry, RDH, BGS

Current position: Adjunct Faculty

Experience: Sharon Sperry is a 2007 graduate of Northeast Texas Community College Dental Hygiene program and the recipient of the 2008 & 2014 Outstanding Alumnus of the Year Award. She is also a member of Sigma Phi Alpha Dental Hygiene Honor Society. With more than 13 years of dental assisting experience as well as a baccalaureate degree in general studies from East Texas State University; Ms. Sperry elected to advance her career in dentistry by becoming a dental hygienist. Upon graduation, Ms. Sperry entered private practice in general dentistry, but, then, also joined the NTCC faculty as an adjunct faculty member. Over the years, Ms. Sperry continued her private practice career, but she left teaching behind in December 2008. In the spring of 2013, Ms. Sperry returned to the NTCC dental hygiene program as an adjunct faculty member. She is a member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association.
