   Medication Aide Application


Medication Administration is a 140-hour course that provides instruction in the procedures for preparation and administration of designated medications and associated responsibilities for non-licensed assistive nursing personnel employed in health care agencies licensed by the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services. This certificate program consists of 144 contact hours of lecture, lab, clinical training for students to become Medication Aides. There is a mandatory four hour review for the state exam that makes the course 144 hours total. Upon successful completion of the Medication Aide Program, students will receive a certificate of completion and will be eligible to sit for the state exam.
