General Education Courses

Public colleges and universities in the state of Texas are required to accept core curriculum courses for transfer credit from a Texas community college.  Most general academic courses will transfer to private colleges and universities as well. NTCC counselors and advisors can assist students when researching colleges and universities for transferability. If a student intends to pursue a bachelors degree, the following courses are appropriate in most degree plans and are available through NTCC’s dual credit program:

English Composition
English Literature
History
Government
Economics
Psychology
Sociology

Speech
College Algebra
Trigonometry
Pre-calculus
Calculus
Computer Science
