Faculty Senate Main Page  

 

The Faculty Senate exists to provide a professional forum for the discussion and clarification of faculty issues in the areas of curriculum, instruction, student evaluations, professional development, and campus governance.

Specific involvement in order to achieve the Faculty Senate purpose shall include but not be limited to the following:

  1. The elected officers or appointed Faculty Senate members may present to the administration and to the Board of Trustees of the Northeast Texas Community College District the college faculty’s views and recommendations that are related to policies of academic and professional matters.
  2. Be an integral part of the instructional programs, policy-making, and growth plans of this institution.
  3. Foster programs and activities that will develop the pride and responsibility, leadership, character, and community involvement of the faculty of this institution.
  4. Develop cooperation and fellowship among the faculty and among the instructional programs of this institution.
