Mathematics – 3 hours

     Choose one from the following:

  • MATH 1314 – College Algebra
  • MATH 1342 – Introductory Statistics

 

Life and Physical Sciences – 6 hours

     Choose two courses from the following:
     *additional 2 hours will apply to major requirements

  • BIOL 2401 – Anatomy & Physiology I
  • BIOL 2402 – Anatomy & Physiology II

 

Language, Philosophy and Culture – 3 hours

One course.

  • PHIL 1301 – Introduction to Philosophy
  • PHIL 2306 – Introduction to Ethics

 

Creative Arts – 3 hours

     Choose one course from the following:

  • ARTS 1301 – Art Appreciation – 3 credit hours
  • ARTS 1303 – Art History I (Prehistoric to the 14th Century) 3 credit hours
  • ARTS 1304 – Art History II (14th Century to the Present) 3 credit hours
  • DRAM 1310 – Introduction to Theatre 3 credit hours
  • DRAM 2361 – Theatre History 3 credit hours
  • MUSI 1306 – Music Appreciation

 

American History – 6 hours

     Choose two courses from the following:

  • HIST 1301 – United States History I 3  – credit hours
  • HIST 1302 – United States History II –  3 credit hours
  • HIST 2301 – Texas History – 3 credit hours

 

Government/Political Science – 6 hours

     Two courses

  • GOVT 2305 – Federal Government – 3 credit hours
  • GOVT 2306 – Texas Government – 3 credit hours

 

Social and Behavioral Sciences – 3 hours

     One course.

  • PSYC 2301 – Introduction to Psychology 3 credit hours

 

Component Area Option (CAO) – 6 hours

     Chose one course from the following:

  • ENGL 1302 – English Composition II – 3 credit hours
  • ENGL 2311 – Technical and Business Writing – 3 credit hours and
  • BIOL 1322 – Nutrition – 3 credit hours

 

Other Degree Requirements – 18 hours
