The Northeast Texas Community College Rodeo team kicked off the 2022-2023 Season with the first Fall Rodeo hosted by Panola College.
Makenzie Mayes, freshmen from Winnsboro, Texas, came away with a second-place finish in the Ladies Breakaway Roping in her first collegiate Rodeo. Makenzie was just one tenth away from winning first place in her first ever National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) Southern Region Rodeo.
The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a donation of $2,449 from Diamond C Trailers. The funds provided scholarships for 28 Titus County students in grades 4-6 to participate in NTCC’s 2022 Kids Discovery College. Diamond C partnered with the NTCC Continuing Education Department and Communities In Schools (CIS) to ensure that money was not an obstacle for students who wanted to experience the two-week educational summer program.
The National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) Southern Region will have the third rodeo of the 2022-2023 season in Mount Pleasant, Texas October 21st and 22nd. Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) will be the host of the Rodeo held at the Mount Pleasant Rodeo Association Priefert Arena located on Greenhill Road in Mount Pleasant, Texas.
NTCC’s Agriculture Club and Program again proved last 10 September that it cannot only produce fresh foods in sustainable, scientific ways, but prepare them in the form of a delectable dinner. The NTCC honors program, in turn, enjoyed its sixteenth fall-semester get-together in as many years, bringing forty parents and students to the Agriculture building for a sumptuous evening meal.

Since 2008, the annual Northeast Texas Poetry contest has represented a singular yearly effort to define the area and culture between the Red and Sabine Rivers. At the Whatley Performing Arts Center of Northeast Texas Community College on 2 September 2022, Student and adult poets of the Northeast Texas region again marked our place and era with bids to share compelling emotions, and arresting depictions.
