The Northeast Texas Community College Continuing Education Department will host its Kids Discovery College July 12-22 (Monday-Thursday). They are pleased to announce that classes will be offered face-to-face on the NTCC campus with extra COVID-19 safety measures in place. Classes are open to kids ages 8-16.
The Northeast Texas Community College Rodeo team will make the trip down to Athens, Texas May 7th and May 8th to close out the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) Southern Region season. Trinity Valley Community College will serve as the host for the event that was originally scheduled for February when the winter storm hit.

Northeast Texas Community College Baseball traveled to Tishomingo, Oklahoma for one last non-conference agame against Murray State College on Tuesday, April 27. NTCC would defeat Murray State 19-6 to bring home the win.
The 2020 NTCC Honors Northeast/Webb Society film on Bo Pilgrim, the great chicken magnate of Northeast Texas, is now available to the public. One can view the feature-length film, and experience the complete film score of Texas composer, Kenny Goodson, by accessing the NTCC honors film site at www.ntcc.edu/honorsfilm.
Andrea Reyes, NTCC’s Title V Coordinator of Phi Theta Kappa, and Honors has recently received national recognition from two separate honors organizations, the National Collegiate Honors Council (NCHC), and Phi Theta Kappa. This month, the NCHC announced twelve Awards for Administrative Excellence, and Reyes was one of three recipients from community colleges in the nation to receive this recognition. Reyes also recently won a Paragon Award for new advisors in Phi Theta Kappa, as reported two weeks ago in “What’s Happening at NTCC.” In this, she again joined a select circle of twenty, nationally.
The Northeast Texas Community College Adult Education and Literacy program will hold its General Education Development (GED) commencement ceremony on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 7 p.m. at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts.
