Entrance Requirements  

Candidate Qualifications

In order to be considered for Northeast Police Academy, a candidate must be at least 21* years of age, and must:

  • Be a high school graduate or **GED recipient
  • Not have been convicted of a Class A or B misdemeanor
    or above within the past ten years and
  • Have no felony convictions.
*Applicants under the age of 21 will be considered only if they are 18 years of age or older, meet the criteria listed above, and have been approved for attendance by the police academy staff.


 

 

Qualified candidates must:

  • Submit all completed application documentation
  • Complete a criminal history background check and
  • Adhere to additional screening requirements.
