Dental Hygiene Program at NTCC

We realize that there are a lot of dental hygiene schools out there. At NTCC, we offer a state-of-the-art dental hygiene clinic and a program that is fully accredited by the American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation (ADA-CODA). Our program is designed to prepare you with the skills and knowledge to become a competent entry-level hygienist in the evolving, competitive, professional world of dental hygiene. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) predicts that dental hygiene will be one of the fastest growing occupations this decade. Employment of Dental Hygienists is expected to grow 38% from 2010 to 2020.*

Dental Hygiene salaries can vary depending on many factors including the type and location of practice, whether the work is full-time or part-time, and the level of experience. The latest Occupational Employment Statistics (OES) issued by the BLS stated that nationally the median annual wage for a dental hygienist was $69,280 in May 2011. The middle 50% earned between $56,950 and $83,310. The lowest earning 10% were paid an average of $46,020 and the highest 10% earned an average of $94,850.*
