NTCC Farm Objectives

  • To showcase and demonstrate small-scale and sustainable farming techniques and approaches which are well-suited to the type of fractured farmland found in the local area;
  • To act as a point of contact/interface between the agriculture program and the local community; To provide a venue for hosting primary school children to teach them about agriculture;
  • To provide a venue for training and mentoring local agriculture producers including small-scale vegetable producers; To become a rural development center for agriculture businesses;
  • To provide a venue for the internship/apprenticeship class for sustainable agriculture students and for developing continuing education and personal enrichment classes;
  • To provide a location for hands-on learning and experimentation for area horticultural and food production groups including FFA high school students and their teachers and garden clubs.
