Biomedical Science

NTCC offers general education requirements for almost any academic major. This offering allows our students to start out on the right track to a bachelor's degree. Many students go on to receive four-year degrees in biomedical science and related areas after attending Northeast Texas Community College.

Biomedical Science is the broad field of applied biology related to health and disease. NTCC’s Biomedical Science Associates degree starts you on your road to becoming a physician, a veterinarian, a dentist, a pharmacist, an optometrist or a lawyer, to name some possible careers. You may also choose a career as a biomedical scientist and continue into graduate school in one of many fields of study. NTCC’s agreement with Texas A&M University helps you achieve your goals.

As a full time student at NTCC you can achieve automatic acceptance into the BIMS program at Texas A&M (provided you meet the necessary requirements) and you will save tens of thousands of dollars in tuition, fees, and housing.

The faculty advisors for this program are Dr. Lawrence Brough and Dr. Mary Hearron.
