The annual Texas Junior College Agriculture Association (TJCAA) conference and competition is always a much anticipated event for our NTCC Ag students as well as advisors.  This year was no exception, but was a small but mighty crew of competitors.

Alison Averie Majors was recently named the winner of the 2024 Chitsey Award, granted each year to the student of Honors Northeast who most exceeded expectations during their first year at NTCC.  The award comes with a $200 check. The Northeast Texas Community College Taste of NTCC: Battle of the Booths event was a huge success! Ten booths served up a variety of delicious dishes for sampling by a large crowd of students, faculty, staff and community members.  The event raised almost $2,400 that was split evenly between the participating clubs and organizations.

The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation finished East Texas Giving Day 2024 at the top of the leaderboard for the third year in a row this Tuesday. The Northeast Texas Community College Culinary Arts Program is pleased to announce an exciting series of couples cooking classes that will be held this May-June. NTCC is partnering with local restaurants to offer participants the chance to learn how to prepare some of their most popular dishes directly from the chefs who create them.

The Northeast Texas Community College baseball team has solidified the third-place position in Region 14 North of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). The Eagles will finish up conference play with two games this weekend against Navarro College at NTCC weather permitting Saturday, May 4th.

rodeo qualifiers

Northeast Texas Community College Rodeo ended the regular season of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) Southern Region with a Rodeo hosted by Hill College April 26-27. Athletes and teams earn points at each Rodeo and the top two teams advance and top three individuals advance to the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR).
