NTCC open Saturday for registration

Northeast Texas Community College will be open from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Jan. 14 to assist students with registration for the Spring 2012 semester. Students will have the opportunity to meet with academic advisors, access computers to register online, make payments and receive help with financial aid.

The College Store will also be open during this time to allow students to purchase books and other supplies.

"We realize that it can be difficult for some people to take care of business during regular hours. Saturday registration has been popular for a few years now and we hope students will take advantage of this service," Jeanni Pruitt, Director of College Connection, said.

NTCC will be closed on Monday, Jan. 16 in observance of Martin Luther King Junior Day and classes begin on Tuesday, Jan. 17. Students may register online at www.ntcc.edu or call 903-434-8100 for general questions.

The funeral service program at NTCC was a great program that helped me become confident in the field. I learned great skills that will benefit me from being a funeral director to an embalmer. This program worked for me, being able to do it online remotely. I was able to work full-time; and gain knowledge from being able to work hands on doing an apprenticeship. The courses here at NTCC were beneficial and important to help us be successful as we go and serve the families in the areas where we reside. My experience here was amazing, the Funeral Service Professors were amazing and willing to help in any way to help us become successful. — Kelby Dayley
