The Northeast Texas Community College Carroll Shelby Automotive Club will host a Car and Bike Show on Satuday, April 21 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. All makes and models are welcome and People's Choice awards will be given.

Registration is $20 per vehicle. People's Choice classes include: Shelby, Modern, Classic, Truck, Bike, and Miscellaneous (ATVs, etc.). Winners will receive plaques. †A Best of Show award will also be given. The event is free for the general public.

"This should be a fun day for the whole family. Whether you have a ride you want to show off or you just want to come out and look at the cars and vote, we hope you will join us," Keith Fennimore, automotive instructor and club advisor, said.

In addition to the car show, there will also be concessions, a silent auction (including Carroll Shelby memorabilia), a bounce house for kids, live music and a car bash. Dyno runs are available for $35 by appointment. Those who pay for a Dyno run will also get a 50% discount on their entry fee.

"We can only do a limited number of Dyno runs during the show, so we highly recommend that you call ahead to book a time slot. This is a great way to get information on your vehicle's performance," Fennimore said.

Proceeds from the show will benefit the Shelby Automotive Club, which is the official club for NTCC Automotive Students.
