Heidi Wooten earns distance learning award

Northeast Texas Community College is pleased to announce that Heidi Wooten, Associate Professor of Economics, has been recognized with a 2013 Outstanding Distance Learning Faculty Award.

Ten educators across Northeast Texas were awarded with this annual recognition by the Northeast Texas Consortium of Colleges and Universities at its annual conference at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches.

Recipients were chosen for the award by contributing in the most highly creative ways to teach and learn using technology.

About the NETC:

The Northeast Texas Consortium is a partnership among the higher education institutions with a mission to increase access to educational and rural health programs for the people of Northeast Texas through collaboration and technology. The awards were presented at the group?s annual distance learning conference with the theme, The Power of Online Learning, held at SFASU.
