NTCC bad weather procedure

It is that time of year when the weather can be unpredictable in this area. Northeast Texas Community College wants to make sure that all students and employees have access to timely, accurate information regarding possible weather-related closures.

In case of bad weather, the decision to close or not will usually be made by 6 a.m. for day classes and by 3 p.m. for evening classes. †If the campuses are closed or classes cancelled, the†official notice will be sent out via our emergency alert system (phone and e-mail) and a message will be posted on the NTCC homepage (www.ntcc.edu).†Messages will also be posted on the main campus phone line (903-434-8100), to the official NTCC Facebook page (www.facebook.com/NTCCeagles), and on Twitter (@ntcceagles). If no message is posted to these sources, it means we will conduct business as usual.

Information about closures or delays will also be sent to the stations listed below. However, since we do not control what radio or TV stations do with our messages, we encourage you to consult the official college sources listed above.

? Local radio stations K-Lake (97.7) and Star Country (96.9)
? Television stations KLTV Channel 7 and KTAL Channel 6

Ultimately, we urge both students and employees to put their own safety first. Since many people commute to our campus from some distance, weather conditions may vary. If the campus remains open and you do not feel safe driving,†please contact your†instructor or supervisor to make†individual†arrangements.
