NTCC rodeo competes at A&M-Kingsville

The Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) rodeo team competed in their second rodeo of the spring season at the Texas A&M-Kingsville rodeo at the Robstown Expo. Center in Kingsville, Texas. NTCC was represented by six students, with the men?s team scoring 295 points and placing fifth and the women?s team placing sixth with 80 points.

The header and heeler team of Shane McCall and Jordan Self took third in the team roping event earning 20.8 points. Riley Rustad came in fourth during the Steer Wrestling event with 4.9 and Kyler Bramhall placed fourth in the Tie Down earning 23.4 points.

Maegan Boyd and Sadie Johnson both competed in the Goat Tying event with Boyd placing fourth with 16.3 points and Johnson placing tenth with 17.2 points.

The Eagles Rodeo Team will compete again on March 21-22 at the Texas A&M University Rodeo at the Brazos County Expo Complex in Bryan. They then travel to Hillsboro to compete in the Hill College Rodeo April 11-12.
