Priority scholarship deadline set for March 31

Need help paying for college? The priority deadline to apply for a Northeast Texas Community College Foundation scholarship for the Fall 2014 semester is Monday, March 31 at 5 p.m. Applications can be picked up with Lori Hunter in the Administration Building or a copy can be downloaded at www.ntcc.edu/financialaid (choose Scholarship Information button in left menu).

NTCC Foundation scholarships come from a variety of sources including individuals, families, businesses and civic clubs. Many are given in honor or memory of friends, relatives, colleagues or community members. Awards generally range from $250 to $1,500.

"NTCC is blessed to have many generous donors who provide scholarship for deserving students each year. Scholarships awards are determined based on a variety of criteria (not just academic record or income levels) so†I†encourage any student who needs extra help to apply," Dr. Jonathan McCullough, NTCC Vice President for Advancement, said.

Scholarships are awarded in the late spring/early summer each year for the upcoming fall semester. Recipients will be notified of awards by June 1. Questions regarding scholarship applications can be directed to Hunter at 903-434-8116 or†lhunter@ntcc.edu.
