Pinterest allows users to save images and categorize them on different boards. They can follow other users' boards containing images similar to their tastes.††

Pinterest also allows businesses to create pages aimed at promoting their businesses online. Posting content to a business page opens your business up to all Pinterest users and†can serve as a "virtual storefront" for the business.
