Dutch oven cooking workshop offered

The Northeast Texas Community College Agriculture Department will host a Dutch Oven Cooking Workshop Friday, Sept. 25. The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Elizabeth Hoggatt Whatley Ag Pavilion(located across FM 1735 from the main NTCC campus). Instructor, LuAnn Sewell Waters will take participants through the basics of Dutch oven cooking to create cobblers, main dishes, breads and other foods in acamp or backyard setting.

The workshopwill include instruction, copies of the recipes participants will prepare inclass, and the care and cleaning of Dutch ovens. A buffet meal of those recipeswill beserved as part of the class.††Sewell Waters has more than 20 years of experience in Dutch oven and campcooking. She has taught classes across the United States forgroups includingBass Pro, Cabela's, National Park Service, US Fish and Wildlife Service, AldoLeopold Foundation, OSU and OU.
