The Northeast Texas Photography Club will exhibit a collection of work in the foyer of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at Northeast Texas Community College November 9 through December 3. The display will include photography in a variety of styles, all shot by local members. An artist reception will be held Thursday, Nov. 12 at 2:30 p.m. in the Whatley Center foyer.

The Northeast Texas Photography Club was founded about six years ago by a group of local photographers. The club meets the second Tuesday of each month on the main NTCC campus in room BT 103 from 7-9 p.m. Each month the club issues a photography challenge to members and a contest is held at meetings. In addition to presentations from guest photographers, members also take field trips to places of photographic interest - such as Caddo Lake, the rose gardens in Tyler and various state parks. The club welcomes members ages 14 and up from all level of experience, from beginners to professionals.
