American Legion Post 0210 gives veteran scholarships

American Legion Post 0210 (Mount Pleasant) recently presented a check for $3,000 to the Northeast Texas Community College Foundation. Steve Austin, Post 0210 Adjutant/Financial Officer (center) is pictured making the presentation to Daisy Bates (left), NTCC Advisor and Veterans Affairs Coordinator, and Dr. Josh Stewart, NTCC Vice President for Student and Outreach Services. The gift will be combined with the current Landers Veterans Scholarship and will now be the new Landers-Jessup/Reed Veterans Memorial Scholarship which will provide $300 per year to a veteran attending NTCC.
