The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at Northeast Texas Community College will present Christmas with the Nelsons Monday, Dec. 12 at 7:30 p.m.

Starring Matthew and Gunnar Nelson, twin sons of Ricky Nelson, Christmas with the Nelsons tells the story of three family Christmases in the lives of America?s Favorite Family- The Nelsons.

?It has become tradition to have a holiday show at the Whatley Center and we are very pleased to bring you Christmas with the Nelsons. This nostalgic performance tells a story while incorporating your holiday favorites to help put you in the Christmas spirit,? Carolyn Franks, Director of the Whatley Center, said.

The heartwarming, multimedia live concert experience combines a genuine blend of Everly Brothers-style harmonies and Smothers Brothers-style comedy. Multi-platinum recording artists Matthew and Gunnar have been thrilling sellout audiences world-wide for the past decade with their high-integrity Ricky Nelson Remembered show, and they?ve got a new gift for you to open.

The concert will take you from the Holly Jolly 50?s, when Matthew and Gunnar?s father Ricky was a little boy intent on duct-taping antlers on the family cat?to the 70?s when Santa Claus Came to Town delivering Schwinns for the Twins in the era before bike?

to Rockin? Around the Christmas Tree today with the newest generation of Nelson Family kids who prove that yes, we DID in fact turn out to be just like our parents after all.
