Northeast Texas Community College Eagles Soccer finished the regular season strong last week. Both the men and women wrapped up the regular season with wins against Paris Junior College.†

The women beat PJC 4-0, finishing the regular season 14-3. They will host Navarro College Thursday at 3 p.m. for the first round of the Region 14 playoffs.†

The men†played a great first half against Paris, but could not finish on goal and went to halftime 0-0.

The 2nd half started with the eagles receiving 3 red cards early on and had to play the rest of the game down 3 men. The guys kept playing hard and†Aaron Kavanagh†put in a penalty kick with about 15:00 minutes to go. The guys defended the rest of the game and won a strange hard earned victory.

"This game was crazy. I'm not sure how we got 3 red cards. I guess the referee didn't like us, but we just beat a team playing three men down so it's a great accomplishment for the guys. Now we need to focus on the playoffs next week and get a victory in the 1st round," stated Coach Harrison.

The Eagles men will travel to Laredo Community College Wednesday for the Quarter-Final round of the playoffs. For stats, schedules and more, visit ntcceagles.com.
