For the 10th straight year, Doctors Jim and Paula Archer hosted the annual Fall Roundup for Honors Northeast. Honors students, professors, and administrators of Northeast Texas Community College†gathered at the Archer?s Lone Star Cattle Company Ranch September 10 for the event. Dr. Andrew Yox, Honors Director (pictured right) presented the couple with a plaque commemorating some of the scenes of their interactions with students.
Dr. Jim Archer is a Professor Emeritus at NTCC, having served as chemistry professor for 25 years. He is now serving as President of the NTCC Foundation Board and Chair of the Board of the Camp County Emergency Medical Services. †Dr. Paula Archer was a Software Account Executive at IBM and am now the President of the Texas Shorthorn Association.
Dr. Archer?s Chemistry Club pioneered a series of cultural/reward trips many years ago to promote interactions between students and faculty members. Thanks to the support of the Archers, these have been continued for the past 10 years by Honors Northeast.
