Psi Beta inducts new members

Northeast Texas Community College recently inducted new members into Psi Beta, the national honor society in psychology for students at two-year colleges. Inductees and officers include (from left): Latasha Triplett, President, of Mount Pleasant; Beverly King of Mount Vernon, Nikki Keefer of Pittsburg, Elvia Coronado of Mount Pleasant, Lori Burns of Mount Vernon, Mary Smith of Gilmer, Dustin ?Brett? Spurlock of Gilmer, Rosalyn Taylor of Mount Pleasant, Baron McMinn of Winnsboro, Hector Zuniga, Vice President, of Mount Pleasant; and Cindy Cruz, Historian, of Ore City. Psi Beta chapters sponsor programs, activities, and participation in community service projects along with opportunities to present research papers at regional meetings, attend national meetings, and compete for national awards. Students are chosen for membership based on their outstanding overall scholarship and their scholarship in the field of psychology. Psi Beta is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies and is an affiliate of the American Psychological Association and the American Psychological Society.
