The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at Northeast Texas Community College will welcome you back to Tuna, Texas when it hosts the hilarious, irreverent comedy Greater Tuna March 28 at 7:30 p.m.

Greater Tuna is about Texas? third smallest town, where the Lion?s club is too liberal and Patsy Cline never dies. The eclectic band of Tuna citizens ? men, women, children, and animals alike ? are portrayed by only three performers, making this satire on life in rural America both crazy and delightful.

?Greater Tuna is one of those classic comedies that audiences can never get enough of. We are so pleased to host the new touring production directed by original cast member and co-creator, Jaston Williams,? Carolyn Franks, Whatley Center Director, said.

Called ?a good ol? down-home laugh-out-loud fest,? by DC Metro Theater Arts,†Greater Tuna has enjoyed worldwide success, including long-running engagements both on and Off-Broadway, at the White House in Washington, D.C., on Late Night with David Letterman, and as an HBO special. †Three Actors, 20 Characters, 20 million laughs.

The NTCC performance will star Ryan H. Bailey, Tim Leavon and Will Mercer.

Tickets are $30 for adults and $10 for students 18 and under. The show is sponsored by Drs. Jim and Paula Archer. Tickets may be purchased by calling the Whatley Center Box Office at 903-434-8181. NTCC will be closed for Spring Break March 13-17, but please leave a message with your name, contact number and the number of tickets you would like to reserve and a representative will call you back when offices reopen.
