Alpha Mu Chi, NTCC’s award-winning, Five Star chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, hosted a District III New Officer Training Meeting on July 20.  Attending the meeting held in the campus Community Room were new chapter officers and advisors from NTCC, Trinity Valley Community College, Paris Junior College, Tyler Junior College, and Kilgore College.

Jacob Lambie, the Texas Regional District III Vice-President, and a Presidential Honors Scholar at NTCC, coordinated and led the event. Blake Ellis, Phi Theta Kappa’s Senior Associate Vice-President of Student Engagement, met with the incoming officers remotely answering questions about Society programs and opportunities. On-site discussions and networking opportunities followed as the group bonded over food and laughter, sharing stories and suggestions.

Phi Theta Kappa is the world’s oldest, largest, and most prestigious honor society for two-year colleges. At 101 years old, it has chapters in the United States and ten other nations.
