Multicultural and Career Awareness Week scheduled for Sept. 21-25

Join us in Celebrating Multicultural and Career Awareness Week at the Northeast Texas Community College campus from September 21-25, 2020, as we unite in shaping our community! 

Some of the festivities happening throughout the week include:

  • DIFFERENT CULTURES: SIMILAR MEANINGS
  • FLAGS & CLOCKS IN THE STUDENT UNION BUILDING
  • WHERE ARE YOU CONNECTED TO?
  • WHAT CULTURE DO YOU WANT TO LEARN MORE ABOUT?

Some of the activities and performances happening throughout the week include: 

  • INTERACTIVE GAMES, ACTIVITIES & DISPLAYS (Monday through Thursday) - Hosted by the different organizations on campus.
  • MULTICULTURAL FASHION DAY (Monday, Sept. 21, 2020 - All Day) - Check out some of the great fashions from America and abroad campus wide. The top three outfits will be chosen for prize money. Report to the Office of Student Activities if you want your outfit to be judged.   
  • CAREER FAIR (Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2020 - 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.) Hosted by the Career and Transfer Center  - Contact Person: Rocio Rodriguez Location: Student Union Building   
  • MULTICULTURAL MASK DECORATION (Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2020 - All Day) Students, Faculty, and Staff are encouraged to decorate their masks. (If you need a mask to decorate, pick it up in the Office of Student Activities. Decorate the masks as a flag, tribal design or any cultural design of your choice.) 
  • MULTICULTURAL SPORT TOURNAMENT (Thursday, Sept. 24, 2020 - 6:00 p.m.-Until) Ping Pong Tournament - If you would like to participate, please sign-up at the Office of Student Activities with Rico Willis. Location: Student Union Building      
  • 6th ANNUAL AVAILABLE AND ABLE VIRTUAL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE (Friday, Sept. 25, 2020 - 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.) Preparing students for the 365 Leadership Experience! An official invitation with details will be sent out to the campus community.
