Northeast Texas Community College, in partnership with the Mount Pleasant Economic Development Corporation (MPEDC), will host a Career and Training Expo on Friday, April 23. The event will be held at NTCC’s Industrial Technology Training Center (ITTC) in Mount Pleasant (westbound I-30 frontage road east of Lowes) from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend.

Guests will have the opportunity to tour the ITCC, meet with representatives from NTCC’s career training programs, speak to NTCC advisors, apply for college, learn about financial aid opportunities and more. The MPEDC is also hosting a job fair, featuring several local employers who are currently hiring. There will be free sausage-on-a-stick, free NTCC t-shirts and prize drawings for a Pit Boss Pellet Grill and a Tory Burch handbag. Winners will be announced at the end of the day.

“We are very excited about this opportunity for the public to come see our facility in Mount Pleasant and learn more about all NTCC has to offer. Whether you are a young person trying to decide what you want to do when you grow up or an adult looking to further your career, you don’t want to miss this event,” Dr. Jonathan McCullough, NTCC Executive Vice President for Advancement, said. “We would like to say a special thank you to Nathan Tafoya and the MPEDC for making the Career and Training Expo possible.”
