Eagles Athletics: Spring outlook

Northeast Texas Community College Athletes will begin returning to the campus on Thursday, January 13 to begin to prepare for the Spring 2022 seasons.

NTCC Rodeo will kick things off first on January 28th and 29th at the Texas A&M University-Commerce Rodeo held at the Hopkins County Civic Center in Sulphur Springs, Texas. The Rodeo team has five spring Rodeos to improve their individual and team positions as they work to qualify for the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyoming in June.

The Eagle Softball program, led by Joshua Freeman, will host the first Eagle home games of the spring on February 2nd as they take on Cisco College in a double header starting at Noon. Softball will have non-conference home games against Cisco College, North Central Texas College, Hill College, and Carl Albert College while returning the favor and going on the road to face Carl Albert, Hill College, Cisco College, and North Central before the heart of Conference play. NTCC does have one early Conference game at Angelina College on February 12th before starting the main conference schedule on March 5th with the home match up with Angelina College.

NTCC Baseball will open the season on Thursday, February 3rd with Arkansas Rich Mountain here at Eagle Field and will travel to Arkansas Rich Mountain Saturday the 5th for the rubber match. The Eagles will have a non-conference game at Grayson College before returning to host Cowley College, from Kansas, in a weekend series. NTCC will then host Carl Albert College in a single game on Valentines Day and then host the NTCC Eagle Classic February 18-19. Teams participating in the Eagle Classic will be Grayson College, Alvin Community College and Galveston Community College. The Eagles will begin Conference play on February 23 when they host Tyler Junior College in a double header beginning at 1:00pm.
