The Northeast Texas Community College EMS Program recently went through their re-accreditation process with the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) which included an intensive self-study process and a site visit by CAAHEP surveyors.   We are pleased to announce that our EMS Program was granted the full 5 year re-accreditation from CAAHEP.

“Most of the health science programs at NTCC maintain programmatic accreditation with academic aagencies that provide oversight to ensure quality of instruction for their field of study.  The reaccreditation process requires a tremendous amount of work on top of regular teaching duties. We are very proud of this outcome and I commend Russell VanBibber and Gary Short for their success,” Dr. Marta Urdaneta, Dean of Health Science, said.

The EMS Program offers an Associate of Applied Science degree in EMS as well as an EMT-Basic Certificate and a Paramedic Certificate. Those interested in the program degree or certificates should contact Russell VanBibber at 903-434-8269 or e-mail rvanbibber@ntcc.edu. You can find more detailed information at www.ntcc.edu/ems.
