Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) is proud to welcome Longview artist Lissa Talbot as the featured exhibitor for October. Her work will be on display in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts foyer from Friday, October 3 through Wednesday, October 22.

A public reception honoring the artist will be held on Wednesday, October 8 at 12:30 p.m. in the Whatley Center. The community is invited to attend and meet the artist.

Talbot is a versatile painter who works in watercolor, oils, and pastels. She offers commissions and is best known for her lifelike pet portraits, capturing the personality of dogs, cats, horses, goats, and even the occasional turkey. Her portfolio also includes vintage automobiles, historic Victorian homes, and recreations inspired by the Old Masters.

“Whether it’s a beloved pet, a favorite place, or a meaningful memory, I love creating custom works of art that can be treasured,” Talbot said.

The NTCC Art Department encourages visitors to stop by during the exhibition to enjoy Talbot’s work and take part in the college’s ongoing celebration of the arts.
