Associate Degree students in the NTCC Funeral Services Education program were on campus this week to complete their required practical studies, including facilitating a full mock funeral and graveside service.
The Funeral Services program is offered fully online and serves students from across the country. Those pursuing the Associate of Applied Science degree complete clinical internships at funeral homes near their home communities before traveling to NTCC for hands-on training in their final semester. While on campus, students participate in restorative arts labs, embalming practicums, and funeral directing simulations in accordance with American Board of Funeral Service Education standards.
NTCC offers three online pathways in funeral services: a Certificate in Funeral Service, a Certificate in Embalming, and the Associate of Applied Science Degree in Funeral Service.
