The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at Northeast Texas Community College will welcome acclaimed vocalist, pianist and Broadway star Michael Cavanaugh for Merry Rockin' Christmas on Friday, Dec. 5 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $35 for adults and $10 for students. Cavanaugh—best known for his lead role in the Tony- and Grammy-nominated Broadway musical Movin’ Out—has been hailed by Billboard as “the New Voice of the American Rock & Roll Songbook” and praised by critics nationwide for his powerhouse vocals and magnetic stage presence. Handpicked by Billy Joel himself, Cavanaugh has since toured internationally, performed with major symphonies, and earned acclaim from the New York Times, Variety, and the Chicago Sun-Times.
