The Northeast Texas Community College Taste of NTCC: Battle of the Booths event was a huge success! Seven booths served up a variety of delicious dishes for sampling by a large crowd of students, faculty, staff and community members. Proceeds from the event will be split evenly between the participating clubs and organizations.
Each ticket holder was able to cast votes for their favorite booths. The winners of the People’s Choice awards were as follows:
First Place: NTCC Nursing
($250 prize)
Second Place: Student Success Services
($100 prize)
Third Place: Active Minds
($50 prize)
Other clubs and organizations that participated were: The Eagle Newspaper, Phi Theta Kappa, Sigma Kappa Delta, SGA and the Wesley Fellowship. Bingo games for prizes were also included in the price of admission.
“The organizations really put a lot of effort and creativity into their booths and all of the food got rave reviews. We are so grateful for everyone who helped and those who came out to support the event,” Nita May, NTCC Director of Development, said. “This is the second year for this event and we hope it will be even bigger moving forward.”
Taste of NTCC: Battle of the Booths was held in conjunction with East Texas Giving Day and was sponsored by the NTCC Foundation.
