Northeast Texas Community College students, faculty, and staff came together on Wednesday, Oct. 29 to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month with the annual Paint the SUB Pink event in the Student Union Building.
This year’s theme, Pink Wig Party, encouraged everyone to wear their brightest pink attire — and even a few creative wigs — to show support for survivors, honor those currently fighting breast cancer, and remember loved ones lost to the disease. The event featured music, photo opportunities, and a strong sense of community spirit as participants turned the campus into a “sea of pink.”
“Paint the SUB Pink is always such a special event for our campus community,” said Ja’Quacy Minter, Director of Student Development and event organizer. “It’s inspiring to see so many students come together to support such an important cause. I want to thank everyone who participated and helped make this year’s event a huge success.”
The event was part of NTCC’s ongoing efforts to promote awareness and encourage students to take action during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
