Northeast Texas Community College student Tisha Patel has been awarded the Psi Beta START HERE Scholarship. Patel, a psychology major, currently serves as secretary for NTCC’s Psi Beta chapter. “Ms. Patel is my favorite kind of student — a student who regularly exceeds expectations both in and out of the classroom,” said Dr. Skaar.
Patel is the daughter of Rekha and Jatin Patel of Mount Pleasant.
NTCC offers numerous scholarship opportunities each year to support students and encourage academic achievement. The application for 2025–2026 NTCC Foundation Scholarships will open in late January, and students are encouraged to apply.
