The cornhole tournament at Northeast Texas Community College’s 40th Anniversary Community Picnic drew 13 teams for an afternoon of friendly competition and fun.
When the last beanbag landed, the team of Laurencio Velazquez Jr. and TJ Lockeby claimed first place honors. Kenny Hood and Paul Garrett earned second place, and Donald Ramirez and Stone Trevino took third.
“The cornhole tournament was a great addition to our community picnic,” said Kim Irvin, NTCC Vice President for Student Services. “It brought people together in the spirit of fun and friendly competition. We especially want to thank Laurencio Velazquez, Jr., our College Navigator, for taking the lead in organizing the event — and congratulations to him and his partner for winning first place!”
The tournament was one of several activities held during the picnic, which celebrated NTCC’s 40th anniversary with a day full of family fun, food, and community spirit.
