The Carroll Shelby Automotive Student Institute (CSAI) participated in the Annual Shelby Car Show in Plano, Texas, on May 30. The event was hosted by Third Coast Bank, the Shelby family, and the Shelby Cobra Association of Texas (SCAT).
Representing CSAI at the event were NTCC President Dr. Kevin Rose, CSAI Student Club President James Oneal, and Pablo Padillo-Navarro (pictured), the most recent recipient of the SCAT scholarship. The annual show typically attracts 150-200 vehicles inspired by automotive legend Carroll Shelby, including models manufactured by Ford, Dodge, and Shelby American.
Attendees had the opportunity to meet Aaron and Randall Shelby, grandsons of Carroll Shelby, who spent time visiting with participants, sharing stories, and posing for photos with the vehicles on display.
"The Shelby car show is always a great opportunity for our students to connect with automotive enthusiasts and industry supporters who share a passion for performance vehicles and automotive history," said Austin Maness, director of the Carroll Shelby Institute.
The CSAI continues to provide students with hands-on training, industry connections, and unique opportunities that extend beyond the classroom. Prospective students interested in pursuing a career in automotive technology are encouraged to learn more about the program and the opportunities available at www.carrollshelbyai.com or contact Maness at 903-434-8159 or amaness@ntcc.edu.
