The Northeast Texas Community College Professional Driving Academy recently partnered with the City of Mt. Pleasant Public Works Department to provide CDL Class B training for eight city employees.

The 120-hour CDL Class B program includes 40 hours of asynchronous instruction and 80 hours of behind-the-wheel training. The program is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to safely operate commercial vehicles and meet the requirements for a Class B CDL.
The cost of the training was $2,500 per trainee. Through partnerships such as this, the NTCC Professional Driving Academy is helping local employers develop a skilled workforce while providing employees with opportunities to earn valuable, in-demand credentials.
