Northeast Texas Community College nursing faculty member Jami Baker, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, CNEcl, was recently recognized with a DAISY Award for Exceptional Nurse Educators. Baker serves as Professor of Nursing and ADN Program Coordinator at NTCC.
The DAISY Award recognizes nursing educators who make an exceptional impact on their students and help shape the next generation of nurses. Baker was nominated by students who highlighted her compassion, encouragement and commitment to helping them succeed.
One student described Baker as an educator who “pours her entire heart and soul into her career,” while others praised her ability to make complex clinical concepts easier to understand and create a supportive learning environment.
