Northeast Texas Community College will offer an eight-week Phlebotomy Technician training program Oct. 20 through Dec. 8. The hybrid program combines online learning with in-person clinical training, with classes meeting Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30–9:30 p.m. Tuition is $1,000 for the class and clinical training or $750 for the class only. Limited financial assistance may be available.
The short-term program prepares students for careers in a growing healthcare field. Participants will learn how to safely draw blood, work with patients and develop hands-on clinical skills. Phlebotomists work in hospitals, medical laboratories, physician offices and blood donation centers.
