Garrett sworn in by Radke

The Northeast Texas Community College Police Department recently welcomed its newest officer, Marco Garrett, during a swearing-in ceremony held on campus.

Garrett, a Mount Pleasant native and graduate of the NTCC Police Academy, officially joined the department after taking the oath of office administered by NTCC Police Chief Russell Radke. NTCC President Dr. Kevin Rose was present for the ceremony to sign his commission certificate, while Dr. Jon McCullough, Executive Vice President for Advancement, pinned on his badge.

He holds a Master Peace Officer certification and is fluent in Spanish.

"We are excited to welcome Officer Garrett to the NTCC Police Department," said Radke. "His extensive law enforcement experience, commitment to public service, and connection to our community make him a great addition to our team."
