Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) is proud to announce that student Stephanie Hernandez has been named a 2026 New Century Transfer Pathway Scholar by Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for two-year colleges.

Stephanie received the highest score in Texas in the Phi Theta Kappa Fall Scholarship competition, which evaluates nominees on academic achievement, leadership, service, and significant endeavors. As part of the award, Stephanie will receive a $2,750 scholarship and will be recognized at the College Presidents & New Century Scholars Recognition Luncheon during PTK Catalyst on March 27, 2026, in Baltimore, Maryland.

“Stephanie’s dedication, leadership, and academic excellence make her a standout student,” said Dr. Melissa Fulgham, NTCC Phi Theta Kappa Advisor. “We are incredibly proud of her accomplishments and thrilled to see her earn this well-deserved recognition.”
