Northeast Texas Community College welcomed Dr. Wynn Rosser, commissioner of higher education for the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB), to campus Thursday, Sept. 24. During his visit, Rosser met with college leadership and students and toured several campus facilities.
Rosser met with NTCC President Dr. Kevin Rose, Board of Trustees members Russell East and Kerry Wootten, and other members of the college's administrative leadership team. He also spent time visiting with a group of NTCC students before touring the campus, including stops at the Simulation Center and Carroll Shelby Automotive Institute.
"We were honored to welcome Commissioner Rosser to NTCC and appreciate his taking the time to visit with our leadership team and, most importantly, our students," Rose said. "It was a wonderful opportunity to showcase some of the exciting things happening on our campus and highlight the important role NTCC plays in serving our students and communities. We look forward to continuing to work with the THECB to expand opportunities for the people of Northeast Texas."
Rosser has served as commissioner since January 2025. He previously led the T.L.L. Temple Foundation and Greater Texas Foundation and is a graduate of Kilgore College. His career has included a focus on expanding educational opportunities for rural Texans.
