The Certified Nurse Aide program at NTCC Sciences is a course series designed to prepare students to take the state certification test with NACES. This 100 hour course prepares entry level nursing assistants to achieve a level of knowledge, skills, and abilities essential to provide basic care to residents of long-term care facilities.
The course consists of 60hrs of class with 40hrs of clinical experience at a local nursing facility. The CNA program at NTCC is a state certified Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP).

Course is restricted to students that need renewal hours for Medication Aide. Course fulfills 7 hour DADS requirement for renewal. Attendees will need to bring their lunch, and drug book. Students are recommended to bring their own laptop. No door registrations will be allowed.
The Northeast Texas Community College Fire Academy is a partnership between Northeast Texas Community College and the Mt Pleasant, Texas, Fire Department. Northeast Texas Community College is a publicly supported, two-year community college that offers educational opportunities in traditional academic studies, occupational/technical programs, and workforce development through credit and noncredit offerings. Mt Pleasant Fire Department is a career fire department serving the citizens of Mt Pleasant, Texas.
This program requires student must be 18 years of age or currently enrolled in high school CTE program. This 15-week program consists of 120 classroom hours, blended instructions format of online and face-to-face. Students must be able to verify 480 hours of work experience within one year of program completion to be eligible for the certification exam through the Council for Professional Recognition.
Classes
This Certificate program consists of 146 contact hours of lecture, lab and clinical training for students to become phlebotomy technicians. Upon successful completion of the Phlebotomy Technician Program, students will receive a certificate of completion and will be eligible to sit for the national certificate exam through the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians.

The Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Classroom Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.
