Certified Nurse Aide Program

The Certified Nurse Aide program at NTCC Sciences is a course series designed to prepare students to take the state certification test with NACES. This 100 hour course prepares entry level nursing assistants to achieve a level of knowledge, skills, and abilities essential to provide basic care to residents of long-term care facilities.

The course consists of 60hrs of class with 40hrs of clinical experience at a local nursing facility. The CNA program at NTCC is a state certified Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP).

Intermediate Microsoft Excel Course

This course covers more in-depth analytical business functions such as:

  • Advanced formatting - themes, cell styles, customizing page set up
  • Date and time functions - conditional formatting
  • Advanced functions for text and analysis
  • Troubleshooting formulas
  • Lookup function (VLookup)
  • Intro to Pivot tables

Firefighter Academy Enrollment Closes

The Northeast Texas Community College Fire Academy is a partnership between Northeast Texas Community College and the Mt Pleasant, Texas, Fire Department. Northeast Texas Community College is a publicly supported, two-year community college that offers educational opportunities in traditional academic studies, occupational/technical programs, and workforce development through credit and non­credit offerings. Mt Pleasant Fire Department is a career fire department serving the citizens of Mt Pleasant, Texas.

Child Development Associate I & II Program

This program requires student must be 18 years of age or currently enrolled in high school CTE program. This 15-week program consists of 120 classroom hours, blended instructions format of online and face-to-face. Students must be able to verify 480 hours of work experience within one year of program completion to be eligible for the certification exam through the Council for Professional Recognition. 

Classes

Phlebotomy Program

This Certificate program consists of 146 contact hours of lecture, lab and clinical training for students to become phlebotomy technicians. Upon successful completion of the Phlebotomy Technician Program, students will receive a certificate of completion and will be eligible to sit for the national certificate exam through the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians.

CNA Program
